We settled on the sale of our house at 9:30 AM on April 26, at 2:30 we settled on the purchase of our new home, and by 4:00 our POD and U-Haul were in the driveway, and Jason’s parents were helping us unload Grant’s crib and our mattress.  Before we even put our offer in Jason made me swear I would take it slow, maybe do a little painting, but otherwise leave the house as is for awhile.  By 9:00 that first night I had already painted the dining room, and before the first week was through I had finished putting two coats on every room in the house, gutted the half bath, and changed out all the light fixtures.

The first month was a whirlwind, unpacking, painting, Grant was in a cast from breaking his leg going down the slide, I had finals and was commuting to Baltimore City for clinicals from 7am to 7pm, while Jason was dropping Grant off back in Catonsville before and after work.  All of May is still a blur, but we quickly realized that we made the right decision.  We love everything about our neighborhood, our incredibly friendly and welcoming
neighbors, walking downtown to eat dinner a few times a week, and walking to the BB Bistro for lunch almost every day with Grant.  Every morning we wake up and walk Izzy down to the Severn for a swim, and we end every night sitting on our front porch, drinking box wine with our pit-bull mix tied to the tree in our front yard-we are from Baltimore, after all.
